my autumn tbr
my favorite season is upon us: autumn. if it wasn’t clear already, that is. reading and autumn go together. when i think of my favorite reading location, would be on my porch when its breezy and cool, and the leaves are changing colors. my autumn tbr isn’t long, and i’m sure i won’t get to all of these books, but these are some books that i’d love to try to get to this fall.
little women - this will be the third year rereading this book. i’ve read it for the first time in 2018 or 2019, but i started the tradition of rereading it in autumn in 2022. i can’t wait to rewatch the movie when i finish my reread. if you follow my instagram, my love of this book is obvious.
the secret history - i tried reading this book last year, but i wasn’t in the right mindset to do so, so i put it on hold for this fall. i’ve heard so many good things about it and it sounds right up my alley.
pride and prejudice - this is my grandmother’s favorite book, and i’ve always wanted to read jane austen. there are so many references to this book in modern day media and i’m pretty sure it’s sitting on my bookshelf, waiting to be read. well, looks like this year is the year to do so.
a little life - i don’t know much about this book, but i’ve heard that its emotional and well written. which sounds perfect for autumn.
the picture of dorian gray - another book that i don’t know too much about it, but i all of the things i’ve heard are positive. in 2023, i visited trinity college, where he attended. i’ve just heard the name of the book so many times that it’s caught my attention and i’m intrigued.
babel - i love r.f. kuang. i’m currently reading the poppy war and her writing is beautiful. i’ve heard amazing things about this book and i can’t wait to read it.
that’s it for today’s post! thank you for reading and be sure to stay around for next saturday’s post!
