morning routine overview

i love my morning routine. its my favorite time of the day, when i’m completely alone and can wake up without my family around, when they’re still asleep.

5:30am: wake up, post on instagram, take vitamins

  • i know this is a little early for when i have to leave, but i like taking my time to wake up and get ready. i post when i first wake up, so i don’t have to worry about it later throughout the day. i also can’t forget to take my allergy medicine otherwise i can’t breathe through my nose for the rest of the day

5:45am: quick pilates from youtube

  • aside from this chunk of time, it’s difficult to find a good time to get some sort of physical activity in. after school i have clubs, work, homework, and other conflicts. this works perfectly, and its something i actually enjoy doing (if you follow me on instagram you know that i always mention this in my monthly wrap up posts)

6:10-6:15am: make chai, wash face, brush teeth, etc.

  • this is pretty self explanatory, but i can’t truly wake up until i have my chai in my hands

6:20-6:45am: do makeup and skincare

  • i think i’ve mastered my makeup and skincare routine, so i think this is a good enough time slot that it takes up. some days it takes me shorter/longer than others, depending on when i actually get out of bed

6:45-7am: pack lunch

  • i love taking salads/sandwiches and strawberries in my lunch. its practically a staple at this point.

7-7:20am: eat breakfast, pack bag, last minute things

  • putting on my sneakers, making sure i have my school-issued device, putting on perfume, things like that. i also make sure i have my airpods, chapstick, and lip gloss with me (i can’t survive a school day without them)
